Story
This year marks the tenth anniversary of the death of my mum, Shirley Garman. I would like to like to remember her by running 10 events this year, hence 10 for 10, and share the passion she had for raising money in the fight against cancer.
On finding out she had breast cancer, Shirley spent the last 15 years of her life raising awareness and money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer. Along with her husband Ralph (my Dad) she was instrumental in setting up the Swindon branch of the charity and launching a number of fundraising initiatives, including the Mad March Hare ( a 5k/10k annual fundraiser in Swindon).
Her goal was always to raise £1 million. After her death, her work has been continued by the tireless efforts of a number of people raising money year on year for the charity which is now called Breast Cancer Now. The £1 million target is in sight and the aim is to reach by October this year.
Please use the link below to read a recent article about Shirley and the ongoing fundraising efforts for Breast Cancer Now.

So for this reason I have selected 10 events to run and use as the basis of my fundraising to help reach this goal. The 10 are:
Bath Half Marathon (March)
Swindon Mad March Hare 10k (March|)
Frenchay 10k (April)
Bristol 10k (May)
Clevedon 10k (June)
Thornbury 10k (July )
Savernake 10k (July)
Bristol Half Marathon (September)
Swindon Half Marathon (September)
Weston Christmas Cracker 10k (December)
So please help me to help fulfil my mums wish and help Breast Cancer Now continue the fight against cancer.
