We are fighting to make a world where diabetes does no harm

Story

I've had Type 1 Diabetes since the age of three. Through technical advances partly funded by Diabetes UK my treatment through the years has progressed from a single injection with a glass syringe and thick needle, through an increasing number of daily injections to the use of an insulin pump which allows me to deliver tiny tiny amounts of insulin when needed.

Although the technical administration and knowledge has progressed there's still a need for me to continually monitor my blood glucose levels and make continual calculations by juggling food, activites, insulin, stress and the many other variables that might cause me to go low or high.

Diabetes UK is working towards giving me even greater tools and treatment options that will hopefully bring a day where I can go for a few hours without having to consider whether I'm high low or in between.

Please donate, no matter how tiny, because every penny really does count.

Thank you!
