Story
I love throwing some shapes on the dance floor so I am really looking forward to learning how to ballroom dance whilst supporting this fantastic charity.
Recently my sister in law, Elaine was cared for at Hospice and the care she, and my whole family received was so kind and compassionate so I would like to give something back.
Rowans Hospice Charity provides palliative and end-of-life care to the highest quality for those living with a life-limiting illness in Portsmouth and South East Hampshire. Our highly trained teams help to improve the quality of life for patients by easing physical symptoms, as well as offering psychological, spiritual and social support to patients, and their family and friends. The Charitys care services are provided around the clock, either within our In-patient unit or within the home setting, as well as offering services for day visitors in our Living Well Centre. Whilst our care is provided free of charge, we are in fact a Charity and 90% of our income is generated by gifts in Wills, voluntary giving, fundraising events, and our Retail shops. It is thanks to the generous donations and fundraising from our supporters that we can continue to provide much-needed support to the community and make a difference to so many lives.
