Story
Rowans Hospice Charity are delighted to announce the Rowans Does Strictly LIVE show will be held on Saturday, 21 January 2023 at Portsmouth Guildhall. The fourteen 'Strictly Stars' are training hard in the dance studio and cannot wait to chasse onto the dance floor and perform to our celebrity judges and you, our fantastic audience.
Despite the event having been postponed twice due to COVID-19, the contestants have been diligent in their training when restrictions have allowed and are looking forward to a night of Strictly glitz and glamour where they will compete for the Glitter Ball Trophy!
Rowans Hospice Charity provides palliative and end of life care to the highest quality for those living with a life-limiting illness in Portsmouth and South East Hampshire. Our highly trained teams help to improve the quality of life for patients by easing physical symptoms, as well as offering psychological, spiritual and social support to patients, and their family and friends.
The Charitys' care services are provided around the clock, either within our In-patient unit or within the home setting, as well as offering services for day visitors in our Living Well Centre. Whilst our care is provided free of charge, we are in fact a Charity and 90% of our income is generated by gifts in Wills, voluntary giving, fundraising events, and our Retail shops.
It is thanks to the generous donations and fundraising from people like our contestants who have fundraised, as well as those purchasing tickets for the LIVE show, that we can continue to provide much needed support to the community and make a difference to so many lives.
