We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

By now I'm pretty sure that most of you know that I've finished the walk, crossing the finish line on Saturday 18th July having walked just over 1,300 miles in under 3 months!

You can see that I've almost achieved my target of £2,000 in donations to Cancer Research UK and it would be great if anyone knows anyone who might consider donating, if you might suggest my site to them (please).

My inspiration for this walk was Joss Ackland in his film 'First & Last'; a great performance which truly spurred me along my way.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank-you all for generously supporting me throughout with your phone calls, text messages, for joining me for a beer, a walk, a meal, for those who rescued me from the hills, for sharing your homes, for taking your time to look at my Blog and videos and for donating to my chosen charity: Cancer Research UK. All of your support really helped to keep me trekking on through the rain, hail, sun...our typical British weather.

I would like to make special mention of Dave & Liz Hill and Sophie Sausage for their continued support and for their positive fundraising (raising £205 in addition to their own generous donation). Another special mention must go to Blackers, for his unstinting support throughout and his help with so many things.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cancer Research UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
