Story
Dave Munden was one of a kind. Imagine a mixture of Cricket, Golf, Fish n Chips, Crabbies and mucky jokes all combined together and there you have a tall, 'gangley' man with 'string for legs'.
His passion for cricket and sports photography was unique, taking him all over the globe snapping shots and drinking beer! He loved wood work and made several items including a coffee table full of golf balls from around the world. However he was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease which slowly took away his opportunity to do the job, sports & hobbies he loved. In its place, us his family, started dragging him around the UK & world ourselves, making sure he lived life with PD to the full!
The reality of PD can be very sad if you make it - or very humorous if you were Dave! As a family and with friends we made the most of every moment together and ensured he had fun and enjoyed life, although it was different to what it used to be. Trying to eat Ice cream with PD can be very tricky & always had us laughing (and covered in melted ice cream!).
On the 10th March 2018, Dave very suddenly passed away at home. He did not pass away because of PD, but with PD. We are sad, we are missing him, his funny ways & sayings. (How's that? NOT OUT!)
In honour of Dave having lived with PD for almost 20 years, we want to raise money for Parkinsons UK who we have supported for years. We aim to raise £5000 over the next year following his passing away.
Anything you can give will be gratefully received and one things for sure; Dave will be raising a Crabbies to you with Thanks xxx
