Both David and Tracy have been diagnosed with cancer, fortunately the types of cancers were diagnosed at an early stage, and the multi-disciplinary teams quickly put an action plan in place.  Today, 21st March is Tracy's 5 year anniversary since diagnosis, which is a juncture worth celebrating, and to mark the occasion we have decided to take on a challenge and help support on going cancer research.

As you may be aware both Tracy and I are keen cyclists and both like a challenge, with both of us doing long distance cycle rides and walks for a Sepsis charity and also Help for Heroes.  This journey will be a challenge for both of us.

Training through the winter has been difficult with regular cycle rides in temperatures just above freezing, lots of wet weather, and recently a lot of wind.

Most of the logistics are now complete and we are continuing to train to cover longer distances each day.  

This challenge is to cycle from the north coast of France starting in Le Havre and ending at the Mediterranean coast in Monaco. During the event we shall be covering an average of around 90 miles per day, which should enable us to complete the distance in 8 days, we have a contingency day planned just in case of poor weather. 🚴🏼‍
