As many of you are aware my niece Molly Ollerenshaw passed away at the age of 8 following a 5 year battle with cancer. My sister, Rachel and her husband, Tim set up a charity called Molly Ollys Wishes which provides support for children with life threatening illnesses.

This year is the 10th anniversary of the charity and York was chosen  for this fund raising event as it was one of the last places Molly visited 

Despite my advancing years and increasing girth this seemed like a good reason to dig out my bike which was last used 5 years ago. I am sure the sight of myself in pink lycra will not be pretty and I can't imagine the ride from York to home will be easy. However I am back in training and will give it my best shot to try help make a difference because having seen what Molly went through and the effect on her and the whole family was devastating . 

Whatever you can contribute big or small will help make a difference and bring smiles to children facing very challenging circumstances.
