Went on a 4 mile recovery run with scott and ewan today. Can't wait for london training to start soon.
In November 2008 our oldest son, Scott, was given a diagnosis of Aspergers Syndrome after months of assessments. Sitting at home that night with a diagnosis report and nothing else (no follow-up appointments, no medication, nothing) we were left not knowing where to turn next.
Finally we found 'Hope for Autism', a group founded by a group of mothers who years previously found themselves in the same situation as us. They offer advice, information, support, group meetings, advocacy, etc all free to parents, families and carers. Due to lack of funding they can only help limited numbers and these numbers are rising so need as much help as possible.
The help we recieved is too much to list but included:-
*Support groups
*Lending library for the whole family and Scotts' teachers.
*Equipment to borrow
*Help with Scotts' educational needs...and much more.
Hope for Autism is a small charity and would appreciate your help with any donations.
