Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Bike to Bestival is a fantastic concept to raise awareness of the environmental impact festivals have on local communities. Being able to reduce this impact by cycling to such an event in such a way that massively reduces our "carbon footprint" is brilliant.

A large convoy of like minded cyclist will ride to Bestival and at the same time raise money for Ellen MacArthur cancer trust.

Cancer is a disease that touches everyone's lives, my experiences started from a young age when I lost my dad. He started my love for cycling and the outdoors with mountain biking in the late 80's, this interest for cycling has remained over the years and is such a fantastic sport and a big part of my life.

Being able to combine raising money for a cancer charity, greener festival attendance/participation and bringing together the cycling community for a fun ride out to Bestival @ Lulworth estate is such a great idea.

About the charity

The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust inspires young people aged 8-24 to believe in a brighter future living through and beyond cancer. For many young people simply picking up where they left off before their diagnosis just isn’t possible. So, when treatment ends the Trust’s work begins.
