As a self-funded charity we need your help to continue our work of going into schools and presenting our online safety presentations to children and those who care for them.

Story

Once again I am running The London Landmarks Half Marathon in aid of the Breck Foundation at the ripe old age of 62 going on 63.

The Breck Foundation’s mission is to educate young people how to keep safe when using the internet. Through education and awareness, The Breck Foundation teaches young people that their relationships online are not like real life friendships, that they should not disclose personal information and never arrange to meet with someone who has befriended them online alone and in a private place. They do this by sharing the real life story of Breck Bednar, a 14 year old boy from Caterham who was tragically groomed online and lured to his death in February 2014.

The Breck Foundation was founded by Lorin LaFave, who is now Lorin LaFave Gordon as we were married in July 2021.
