EDS is 

1. Ehlers-Danlos syndrome is a group of disorders that affect connective tissues, which are tissues that support the skin, bones, blood vessels, and other organs. Defects in connective tissues cause the signs and symptoms of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, which vary from mildly loose joints to life-threatening complications. In my daughters case, the condition has developed from impressive flexibility as a 14 year old elite swimmer to chronic pain and joint dislocations in her sleep or even just holding a coffee cup, as a 20 year old. The syndrome is poorly researched and there is lots to do.
