Story
When I was younger, my uncle, Janty, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS). Janty has a loving husband, my uncle, James, who supports him and enables him to do things he would no longer be able to on his own. Together, they are strong and live full and enriched lives with their friends and family. However, not everyone who is diagnosed with MS has loved ones and many people face it all by themselves. So how can you help?
MS-UK is a national charity dedicated to empowering people with MS by providing services to support and listen. They help people to understand and decide on treatment pathways, they offer therapy sessions and provide wellness centres for people to visit. MS-UK can thereby give people living with MS independence and confidence that can be very difficult to find when you are alone. To find out more about what they do, please visit www.ms-uk.org.
