Maria Luisa De Moreno International Foundation UK funds scholarships for children who were at risk of child labour and prostitution. Help us to help others!

Story

I'm doing the Royal Parks Half Marathon on the 13th October to raise funds for this amazing Charity and here is why:

In the year 2000, Maria Luisa de Moreno Foundation was established by its director Dr Maria Luisa De Moreno, with the objective to offer support through social programs to families in need in order to access to basic foods and education for a better quality of life.

Today, the Foundation's UK Branch is supporting a project created in Bangalore by Global Concerns India (GCI), to give scholarships to 100 children who live in extreme state of poverty. Each scholarship costs £120 and includes uniforms, school supplies and one meal a day for each child during a school year term, 10 months.

The Foundation's UK branch already donated on 27th April 2015, scholarships to 31 children. These 16 girls and 15 boys were at risk to be forced into child labour and prostitution.

Our goal is to raise funds to give scholarships to the other 69 children, who are still waiting for their chance to improve their present quality of life, and to acquire the tools for a better future. Help us to help others!
