I decided to do the half marathon for the Stroke Association this year as Megan's grandfather suffered a major stroke after undergoing investigatory surgery as he was diagnosed with cancer of the duodenum.

It was very upsetting to see him suffer as he lost all mobility and was unable to speak or do anything for himself.
