The Coronavirus crisis is putting families under increasing pressure and for thousands of young people without support it is putting them at risk of homelessness. With this is mind we suggest that Dawn House School and friends join together this weekend from our own homes or gardens to Sleep Out in support of Centre point- UK’s leading youth
 homelessness charity.

Sleep out is simple. For one night just give up the luxury of your bed and swap it for a sleeping bag/ blankets on the floor. Make a den/shelter or sleep in a tent, shed or sheltered place in your garden- Be resourceful/ creative and donate if you can via
 our Just Giving Page

Sleep out is a fundraising challenge that doesn’t replicate what it’s like to sleep rough but gives participants an idea of the situation that a lot of young people find themselves in. It is an experience that we can share even though we are apart, and for one night only could also be a lot of fun. You could do some stargazing and watch the sun come up, enjoy the dawn chorus from the birds, and cook or just eat alfresco. You might also want to keep a mood journal /video diary and write a postcard for a homeless young person/ think what they might like or need as a care package. The possibilities are endless.
