The 2.6 Challenge is a simple and fun way for everyone to do their bit to help save the UKs charities.

Story

My 2.6 challenge is to 'row to the Bass Rock' , which is the world's largest colony of Northern gannets. The Bass Rock sits approximately 2km offshore. I will row the equivalent of 2.6km on a rowing machine.

The Scottish Seabird Centre is a conservation and education charity (Registered Scottish Charity no. SCO25837) that inspires and educates people about the Scottish marine environment, motivating people to care for it and supporting conservation projects.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic the Centre has temporarily closed its doors. For a small charity, heavily reliant on the income from their not-for-profit visitor attraction, as well as fundraising activity, this closure has resulted in a very turbulent financial period for the charity.

Any support you can give me & the centre; whether it is a donation, a share of this page and/or words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! 😊

Save the UK's Charities. General fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, particularly smaller ones, are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income
