Our names are Michael and Denise Coxhead and with friends have decided to walk three hundred miles between May and September. My husband and I are doing it for Kidney Research and our friends for Cystic Fibrosis.

We have a lovely daughter her name is Charlene and she in End stage Renal failure. She was first diagnosed 18 years ago, and has been fighting ever since to remain positive and active and do all she can to delay dialysis or transplant. She became a second degree in Tae Kwon Do, as well as teachingTae Kwon Do to children and adults, and learning to skydive. She loved her job as Quality Assurance Analyst and nothing has stopped her until 2 years ago.

Unfortunately we see her struggles each day as her renal failure has progressed. Her struggles aren't visible to those who don't know Charlene well, as she will always be smiling and fighting.

We both have tried to be a Life Donor for her but unfortunately after 20 months of gruelling testing and a roller coaster of emotions we have been told we can't help.

So we thought we would do this challenge to help raise funds for Kidney Research.
