Story

For almost 60 years, our committment to creating leaders of color who can assume great responsiblity and change the nation has never wavered. This was no different in 2020, despite the challenges and roadblocks we faced. Our efforts yielded incredible results and A Better Chance is proud to have welcomed 711 Cohort members and placed 523 Scholars into Member Schools this year! These results were made possible through the unwavering support of our community who answered our call for direct relief, sustaining our services when our Scholars and families needed us most. Through their efforts, we have secured 50% of lost revenue from the cancellation of our in-person Annual Awards Luncheon, however, a $500,000 gap remains. We need your help now, on Giving Tuesday, to restore our operational revenue. By helping us reach our $40,000 goal, we can continue to serve and protect our Scholars and families and ensure the opportunities created are available for the next generation.
