After 6 years of struggling with the effects of the menopause and being told I couldn’t have hormone replacement therapy due to my mum being diagnosed with breast cancer during her treatment, aged 50, I have finally received the help and support I needed. What a transformation! This has inspired me to improve my fitness and highlight the topic.  

I am doing a Sprint Triathlon (750m swim, 5km run and 20km cycle) on 5th March to raise money for the leading menopause charity. 

Women’s Health Concern is the patient arm of The British Menopause Society and provides free, confidential advice by medical professionals. Both are run by donations alone. Registered charity No. 279651
