Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Throughout November, whilst most of us are rushing home after a busy day, turning up the heating and cozying up on the sofa 'thnking' about all that rushing around that needs to be done in preparation for Christmas, my Husband can be found soaking wet through, freezing cold, up a ladder, in the trees, or on his hands and knees outside in the garden.
He spends hours turning our garden into a magical winter wonderland that lights up the whole street. He loves to see the look on people's faces (young and old) when they drive down the street, get out the car and see his amazing Christmas lights.
Many people have asked if we do it to raise money for charity as they would be willing to give a small donation, so this year we have decided to give it a go. The charity we have chosen is the York Special Care Baby Unit.
The charirty was chosen because Dee has two little faces who watch his every move this time of year from their window, waiting for the night of his 'switch on' so they can come over and leave some magic reindeer food in the garden. These are our neighbour's two young girls and are Dee's number one fans, at this time of year - the charity is very special and important for them all too.
Thank you
