Story

In December 2012 my second son, Oscar, was born with Complex TGA (Transposition Of The Great Arteries). In basic terms, this meant that Oscars heart was 'wired' the wrong way round and, as a result, his blood was not getting enough oxygen. Within 24 hours of his birth he was rushed to Yorkhill Childrens Hospital in Glasgow. Over the space of 2 months Oscar endured over 24 hours of surgery time, including a 12 hour 'switch' operation (open heart surgery) at 11 days old.

It was 3 months before Oscar got to go home for the first time. Oscar will have to have further operations in the future but for now he is loving his opportunity to be at home with his big brothers and get lots of cuddles :D

In 2014 Kid (Oscars Godfather) and Tirwin (Oscars Dad, Myself) ran the Edinburgh Marathon for Yorkhill Childrens Charity, raising over £2000. This year we have a couple new members to the team, running for Yorkhill and a selection of other charities.

In 2015 Kid and Tirwin will be hitting the mud, this time doing a Double Mudder, that is Tough Mudder on the Saturday & the Sunday. We will be joined by a couple of friends doing a variety of single and double mudders and you can keep up to date with all our progress on the facebook page above.

Any donations are greatly appreciated; every penny given helps to save the lives of these children. Every child deserves a chance.
