Story

They say that there are some things in life that you only do twice.  The first time you don't realise how much it will hurt - the second time you can't believe it hurt that much.

I'm doing The London Marathon again this year and after the training ups and downs (mostly downs) it will definitely be my last.

That said, I want to go out with a bang and raise as much money as I can for The Fred Foundation.

As many of you know I have been involved with The Fred Foundation since its inception in 2007 - my son Fred is the boy with autism who inspired the charity.

The Fred Foundation is dedicated to raising money to fund education programmes for children with autism.  It's vision is to allow children with autism to reach their potential through individualised, specialised programmes that match their needs not inflexible approaches which can cause immense suffering both to the children but also to their families.

Education is the only commonly accepted intervention for autism and in every case early and consistent intervention is critical to finding that child again and unlocking their potential.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.  Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to The Fred Foundation and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

Please donate what you can - it will help The Fred Foundation and also inspire me to get round!!
