I am a superhero!  To put it another way I have been challenged by a colleague of mine who has a learning disability and who ran the London marathon (!) To swim the equivalent of the marathon – 26 miles – in the open air in the month of October.

I am fundraising for Mencap because never has fundraising been more important to us.  We need funding to keep our helpline open; to support families with the cost of living crisis and to keep up our really important campaigning work.

Aaron, my colleague mentioned, who is not a swimmer will join me for the final mile.
