Welcome to my fundraising page for the
SAUCONY CAMBRIDGE HALF MARATHON 2020
--------------------
MY EVENT:
This is will be my fifth consecutive Cambridge Half Marathon (CHM), my local 'big event' Half Marathon which I am using as my annual fundraiser for charity.
In previous years I have used this event to fundraise for The Fitzwilliam Museum Outreach Fund and the East Anglian Children's Hospice ('Run Like and Egyptian' in 2016), and the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund (2019 representing 600 Squadron, RAF Reserves).
This year I am fundraising for Crohn's and Colitis UK.

MY CHARITY:
Crohn's and Colitis UK - Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis are the two main forms of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), and today in 2020, over 300,00 people in the UK are living with a lifelong disease, that many people have not heard of. There is no cure.

- Diarrhoea (mixed with blood, mucus or pus in severe cases)
- Constipation
- Nausea
- Weight Loss
- Fever
- Rectal Bleeding
- Inflammation of the Joints, Eyes and Mouth.
Crohn's and Colitis UK are working towards: -
- Providing information, help and personal care so sufferers can manage their conditions.
- Work with the UK health sector to improve diagnosis, treatment and management of IBD.
- Support life-changing research into the causes of and treatments for Crohn's and Colitis.

With a family member being affected by Crohn's, I am taking this opportunity to raise money for Crohn's and Colitis UK, to support them with their objectives to fund research into causes/treatments of this life-long condition, and therefore provide assistance to sufferers.
