100 for Guide Dogs

100 for Guide Dogs Β· 30 November 2020 Β·
As most of you know, I am visually and hearing impaired; my hearing loss is stable but I am gradually losing my vision. I have sponsored Guide Dogs for a couple of years now and wanted to do more to help this wonderful charity who help many adults and children like myself retain their independence at work, at home and when out and about.
I am always up for a challenge and when I saw the 100 for Guide Dogs challenge, I thought it was perfect. I aim to run 100 kms, cycle 100 miles and swim 100 lengths of my local Sports centre pool. I have to achieve this by 30th November so have a bit of time, but it will still be a challenge to do with my visual and hearing limitations.
So many charities have struggled this year with Covid but the help Guide Dogs provide is still desperately needed by so many. I appreciate that many friends and family have also suffered financial hardship through the current crisis but if you are able to spare a few pennies or pounds, every little bit will add up and truly make a difference. A huge thank you to everyone and wish me luck. π
