Story
Tomorrow September 10th is PBC awareness day and my family and I plan to swim 2 miles as a relay team to raise funds for PBC research.
The BPC Foundation is an international charity that provides help, support and information to sufferers of PBC, their families and friends.
As a family we have first hand experience of this illness and want to do everything we can to help raise awareness and funds for this cause.
The Theme for this fundraising campaign globally is Movement as Medicine, promoting the benefits of 30 mins of physical acitivity per day both for the general public and PBC related Health.
PBC affects as many as 1:1000 women over the age of forty. It is difficult to diagnose and many sufferers are not well informed about their condition.
There is currently NO cure for PBC and it is one of the main reasons for liver transplantation in the UK.
If you don't already know I suffer from PBC and we want to see research continue, more treatsments and ultimately a cure for PBC so please join with us and help us to raise as much money as possible for this charity.
