Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
From midday on Monday 12th November, to midday on Tuesday 13th November, we are going to be taking on a vertical challenge. Climbing and living on the Westway climbing wall (vertical camping as it's also known) in aid of the victims and families from the Grenfell tragedy.
We will climb at least the height of El Capitan (3000ft), and aim to raise £1000 (which works out at £1 per metre).
El Capitan is the target for our next huge challenge in 2019, and this will be the first time we will have slept on a wall. Climbing this sort of height in 24 hours, having 0 time with our feet on the floor is going to be tough, but that's exactly the point. We will have plenty of dwell time during the challenge, and want to take that time to think about the victims and their families in the local area. We are lucky enough to not personally know any many of those affected, but the reach and impact has been resounding in a community we love.
We hope to raise as much money as possible for this incredible cause. So please use our discomfort during this challenge, as a reminder that you are likely lucky and have it pretty good. Use this link to put your hands in your pocket and donate a few quid to people in need.
Thanks.
