Hi There!

This year again my dad is coming for the Edinburgh Marathon Festival and we are teaming up to raise funds for Positive Help but this time, marking the 25th year of the charity we'll double the efforts: my dad is running the full marathon!!!! and I am hoping to actually be able to run the half-marathon (unlike last year where I was forced to resign due to an ankle injury caused by too much last minute training). To make sure this does not happen again, I am starting my training well ahead and am aiming to break my personal record!!

A few words about Positive Help if you haven't heard of it before: it is a charity that helps people with HIV/AIDS and/or Hepatitis C by providing them with different services: a driving service where volunteers cover lifts to the medical appointments or big grocery shopping; a home support session where volunteers help the patients with keeping their house at a healthy standard or also help with maintenance (paintings etc.); homework support where volunteers are matched with kids who they help keep up with their school work and befriending where volunteers are matched with children they see a fortnight to do different activities.
