Since hitting the ripe old age of 40 I decided that I wanted to raise money for a charity close to my heart and specifically a charity relating to mental health.

Since supporting Therapy Dogs Nationwide through my pet company I have witnessed the incredible work they do first hand. They are a non- profit organization with volunteers who take their own dogs in to hospitals, schools, nursing homes etc. to provide comfort, distraction and stimulation. They even pay for their own T-shirts such is their dedication. 

Having witnessed my own grandparents suffering with dementia, to then see the effects that a dog can have on someone suffering from dementia at Crufts this year, it confirmed that this was the charity I wanted to make a commitment to.

I have loved working with this upbeat team of volunteers and will continue to do so.
