Story

On Monday 4th June, six year olds Elissa and Ella will both be cutting off an amazing 30cm of their hair to raise money for Birmingham Children’s hospital. Elissa has been a patient of the hospital eye department for the past year and with the help of her oldest friend Ella, hopes to raise money to support the hospital as a way of saying thank you for the innovative and wonderful treatment and care she has received there. They hope to directly donate to the eye department as well as supporting the hospitals play appeal scheme which is something Elissa herself has previously benefited from. They aim to raise £500. Local hairdresser Hayley Oliver has kindly agreed to cut the girls hair which they will then donate to the little princess trust, a charity which provides wigs for children who have lost their own hair. The girls are also collecting traditional sponsorship which will go to the little princess trust to cover some of the costs of creating this hair into wigs. Some local hairdressers have money tins in them for you to drop your spare change in. Please help support the girls and donate generously to this brilliant hospital and charity.
