Cambodia has the most amputees per capita in the world. It is still littered with mines. Half of those who need wheelchairs don't have them. No pressure pads for spinal-injury patients, the average life expectancy for these is 2 years. Only one rehabilitation unit, with 12 beds for the whole country. Poor transport means that services/charities do not reach the rural areas.Exceed is an outstanding charity but it needs money to increase its staff and provide incentives to keep its highly trained staff.
