Story
Hi and thanks for looking at our page.
As you may know or can see in the photo, Libby our eldest daughter suffers from severe eczema. Several times each day she puts on creams from head to toe and takes a variety of oral medication. She manages her eczema really well, but sometimes it gets the better of her and she has an itching frenzy. At night she is often bandaged to protect her skin and help it heal.
Despite all this, Libby has bags of energy and is a happy little girl and, in her words, 'eczema is very itchy but it doesn't stop me from doing anything!'
We'd like to support the charities that help Libby and others like her by doing The Walk For Skin on 8th June. It's a three mile walk in Itchen Valley Country Park that we will all take part in. It's a great opportunity to raise awareness of skin disease and for Libby to see others with similar conditions.
The money raised will go to the British Skin Foundation, a charity that raises funds for work that may lead to new treatments and eventually cures for the many skin diseases that blight millions of lives.
