Story
Ralphie and I are taking part in the World Big Dog Walk to raise vital funds for animal charities who are in a state of crisis due to the Pandemic.
We are aiming to walk 100 miles throughout the month of September, so wish me luck! Ralphie will love it; he can drag me along!
I've chosen to raise funds for the Wildheart Trust on the Isle of Wight where I spent alot of time as a child! I loved going to see the Tigers and thinking I was 'abroad' because I'd gone across the Sea; so let's make sure the tourism trade on the Island doesn't die out and that the Tigers and other vulnerable animals can still receive the fantastic care that the trust provides!
Any support will be greatly appreciated; be it a donation, moral support or sharing our fundraising updates! Thankyou in advanced; here's some information about the Wildheart trust; have a look at their webcams on their website to have a look what the Big cats are up to! :)
The Wildheart Trust is based at the Isle of Wight Zoo on the east coast of the island. It's most treasured aim is to give safe and loving forever homes to big cats and other exotic animals which have been abused in circuses and in the pet trade.
The Wildheart Trust has recently provided a forever home for five tigers from their former circus life and, more recently, two ex-circus lions but they don't want to stop there!
The Trust is now keen to look into the rescue of bile bears from Asia, and Barbery macaques from North Africa. Animals that never have, nor ever will be able to live in the wild. They cannot do this alone and need help and assistance from like-minded individuals to assist in their rescue and rehabilitation work!
