Great North Run 2022
Campaign by National Trust (RCN 205846)
The world's biggest half marathon returns to its iconic city to sea course, starting in Newcastle and finishing next to the National Trust's own Souter Lighthouse. Run for nature, run for history, run for the places you love with the National Trust.

Story

The National Trust is Europe's largest conservation charity protecting nature, beauty and history for everyone, for ever.I am running to ensure that the natural and historic places we all love are kept safe for future generations to enjoy.

Seaton Delaval Hall in Northumberland, one of Sir John Vanbrugh's finest designs, was home to a fascinating family. It is now a wonderful place that lifts everyone's spirits.

The Curtain Rises Project has seen huge investment in conserving and re-presenting the gardens, hall and collection. Many paintings have been cleaned and now show how badly some others need the same loving care.

Your donations will go towards conservation of two works by William Bell showing the Hall in the 1770s, after Sir John Delaval had added 14 rooms to the south east wing.
