We support young people in times of need to to develop in body, mind and spirit

Story

I have decided to do this as I wanted to do something for charity that was actually something I didn’t want to do, and therefore more deserved of sponsorship - and I am really not looking forward to this, so surely it's very deserved!

I don’t like heights. I don’t do adventure sports. I do not see the fun in teetering over the edge of the building on a rope. My only experience of abseiling is when I was 11 and on a school residential adventure course. I hated it. I cried all the way down.

I am raising money for YMCA Exeter. They help young people facing homelessness. Homelessness is a big problem in Exeter so if we can provide a space for these people to get some support, hopefully they will make the best of their lives, and won't become an adult on the street.

Please donate what you can, even a few pennies. Also, feel free to come see me at 10am on December 3rd at Princesshay car park. I will be pleased for any and all support. I'll be one of the people on the roof in the Santa suit - hopefully not looking too distressed!
