Story
I'm running the London Landmarks Half marathon on 24/03/19 in support of Scope who strive for disability equality and fairness in society.
They provide practical advice and emotional support through their helpline, online community, range of employment services, community engagement programmes and more.
49% of disabled people say they feel excluded by society.
87% of parents have felt judged by members of the public and 41% of them were offered no emotional support
From every pound:
70p goes towards supporting disabled people and their families so they can have the same opportunities as everyone else
20p is spent on selling donated goods through their shops, which raises even more money for Scope
9p is spent on fundraising with other supporters.
1p is spent on making sure the charity is efficient and well run.
