Story
On the 10th October I am holding a Cake and a Cuppa Event at Manchester Victoria Train Station with the support of Amulet Security and Northern Trains🍰🎂☕️
In the UK alone 1 in 123 are diagnosed with Crohns’s Disease or Ulcerative Colitis, that’s more than 500,000 people.
At around 17 years old I started to experience symptoms including extreme weightloss, mouth ulcers and sickness, resulting in me being in and out for hospital. Around 4 years later, after lots of tests I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Colitis. Since this day, I have been trialling several medications which has now resulted in taking immunosuppressant tablets daily, immunosuppressant injections every 3 weeks along with vitamin injections every 3 months.
As someone with Crohn’s disease, it is important to have people around you that support and understand your condition, which is why with my employer (Amulet Security/Northern Trains) we are holding a fundraising day to support and raise awareness of Crohn’s and Colitis.
