After a little persuasion a few of us are running the Bristol 10k. It's a run I've completed before, smashing the time target I set myself. Since then I've gone on to have another beautiful daughter which means a lot of weight gain and loss of fitness with the added effects of a c-section. 

This year I'm completing for me, no time pressure just enjoyment of running an amazing event with friends. Due to Jodie having multiple friends who's children have been treated recently at Bristols Children's Hospital it seemed fitting we tried to raise a few pennies for the Wallace and Gromit Appeal. 

But a charity very close to my heart at the moment is NICU Blood Bikes South West. I am currently a milk donor so I see what an amazing service the volunteers provide - from collecting milk from donors through to delivering the milk to one of the 15 NICU units across the South West. It costs £50 to take a mum to see her poorly baby in hospital, £20 to collect milk from a donor and £200 to deliver milk to a NICU unit. They truly are hero's and I will miss filling up these very special purple pots. I love I am helping give very poorly baba's a chance to thrive and survive.
