I must be mad- I have been selected to take part in the Wobbleberries Challange. The challenge is to compete at a British Eventing 80 event in the autumn of 2018.

The reason behind this is to raise money for the amazing charity, Willberry Wonder Pony, which was set up by Hannah Francis. Hannah was a dedicated young event rider and dreamed to ride at the top of the sport however her life was tragically cut short on 1 August, 15 months after being diagnosed with bone cancer. She inspired thousands of people she never met, and achieved so much in her tragically short life. In her memory I want to challenge ourselves to push ourselves to compete in her sport.

So a little about me and my very own wonder pony...

Dan is my 10 year old, 15.2, dream horse- I was luck enough Daniel's proud owner 3 years ago, and at that time he hadn’t done much apart from hacking. I too was a very novice rider and had never sat on a horse until I was 24 (2 years prior). Together we have done so much and he has taught me so much. I have immersed myself in the horse world and have cherished every moment of my journey so far- I just wish I had started riding earlier!
Dan and I love to get out and about and do everything together-  dressage, show jumping, xc, endurance rides happy hacking, local competitions and training
We have started to focus on dressage and both of us really have a passion for this. Dan loves his jumping but I lack confidence- he will happily jump 90cm but I would much rather stick at 70cm! 

I had planned to do this challenge last year but we join the quadrille team which took over a little! It was worth as our team were crowned the national brc champions 😃 this year I am fully focused on my jumping and completing this 😊 I never in my wildest dreams thought I would have the opportunity to be able to compete in a BE event and want the chance to show everybody that cobs can do anything! I feel this is a unique chance to raise money to an amazing charity, take part in a worthwhile event, represent Cornwall, meet like minded people and prove to myself that anything is possible if you work hard enough and commit.
