Story

Hi Everyone! Thanks for visiting my page.

My name is Emma and I am raising money for the Stroke Association by running the London Marathon 2018 because in April 2017 my 16 year old brother had a Stroke.

I can't even begin to explain how proud I am of my little brother as he was physically not affected for long but suffered aphasia so he was unable to speak, read or write fully. Although he has been making a great recovery he will be living with the effects of Stroke for years to come but he never complains or lets it get him down. This is making me even more determined to get through this 6 months of marathon training and raise as much money as I possibly can.

The Stroke Association have given my brother and family some fantastic support, they raise a lot of awareness about Stroke and also do some amazing research. I feel privileged to be able to run the marathon for them and want to try and raise as much money as possible and also raise awareness that:

STROKE CAN HAPPEN TO ANYONE AT ANY AGE

Thank you so much to anyone who makes any donation to this amazing charity and to all of the support I have already received from friends and family - I am so grateful to everyone. I promise to continue to give it my all throughout training and on race day!
