Hello, and thanks for visiting my page. You will have seen what I am doing to raise money on my main page but I wanted to say a few words about why I have chosen this as one of my charities.

We, and most people we know have experience of Cancer in some way, whether that be friends, family, loved ones or yourself. It can have a devastating effect, not only on the body but on the mind as well. Fear, worry, sadness, guilt and just feeling downright rubbish about the situation, often goes with loss of self-esteem and confidence. 

CancerCare is a small, local charity who provide counselling and other complementary therapies for those battling cancer, their loved ones and children. Their services are free, and help those who are struggling with this terrible disease. This work is just as important as treatment and research, and has proved invaluable to many families in the area.
