The National Animal Welfare Trust cares for and rehomes over 1300 animals a year, from cats and dogs to smalls and sheep!
Active in all the communities it serves, the Trust has 5 rescue centres in the south of the UK, supported entirely by the generosity of the animal-loving public.
Story
Hi Guys
Please help me!
On April 25th I will be running the London Marathon (my first one!!) to raise money for the Watford National Animal Welfare Trust - a charity very close to my heat. Our sole purpose is to rescue and re-home unwanted, ill treated and abandoned animals and to provide a loving sanctuary for those too ill or too old to be re-homed.
Each week I volunteer at the 'shelter' as a Dog Life Enricher, walking the dogs, cleaning and maintaining their kennels and spending time with them. It’s tough being locked up in a kennel or cattery all day. We do our best to give them as much love and care as we can but it’s not a substitute for a loving home. Many animals are depressed and distressed by the situation they are in so all we can do is ease this as much as we can and do our best to find them a new home.
We receive no money from the Government so rely entirely on kind hearted, charitable donations from the likes of you and I.
Unfortunately charity donations have declined rapidly in the last 6 months, putting a huge strain on our resources. Please help us to continue our good work by giving what you can to support my marathon run.
