Breaking the Barrier Challenge 2020 · 20 June 2020 ·

A personal Breaking the Barrier stamina challenge, taking place during LDAW2020 for Lifeworks. Raising funds to support people with learning disabilities to remain active and participating in regular exercise during lockdown and beyond!

Story

Ed and Honor are taking on the Breaking the Barrier stamina challenge for Lifeworks in advance of Learning Disability Awareness Week In June 2020. Please sponsor us to help support people with learning disabilities to remain active and participating in regular exercise during lockdown and beyond!

Edward has decided to mark his 52nd birthday by walking 52km in a day along the SW Coastpath from the Kingswear to Teignmouth. He is being accompanied by his much younger daughter Honor! However this is quite a challenge - they will begin at 4am on Saturday 23 May and after many hills they hope to reach Teignmouth 10 hours later. Watch this space...

Over the same weekend in May Oscar will celebrate his 19th birthday by rowing 52km on a rowing machine starting and finishing in kingswear -  no doubt with a constant smile on his face!

Please help us to support this small, local charity which has does so much to support Oscar and other young adults with learning disabilities.
