Hospital to Hospital with Lynne and Emma for Ukraine · 17 June 2022

More than 10 million people have fled their homes to escape conflict in Ukraine. Leaving behind jobs, belongings and loved ones, they need shelter, food and water. Donate now.

Story

We are two nurses who are going to walk and cycle from Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. We'd love to see you along the way! Come and walk or cycle a section with us. We appreciate your support!!

Our challenge:

Day 1: Friday 17th June - We'll walk from Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy to Elie Holiday Park along Fife's Coastal Path

Day 2: Saturday 18th June - We'll get back out into the sunshine (hopefully) and walk from Elie Holiday park to Crail.

Day 3: Sunday 19th June - We'll strap our blistered feet into our pedals and cycle from Crail to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee, where we'll have tea, cake and a lie down.

At least 3 million people have fled their homes to escape the conflict in Ukraine.

Heavy fighting, shelling and air strikes across the country have had devastating consequences for civilians. Homes have been destroyed. Families have been separated. Lives have been lost.

At Ukraine’s borders with Poland, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and Moldova, huge numbers of people are arriving with only what they can carry.

DEC charities and their local partners are in Ukraine and in neighbouring countries providing food, water, shelter and medical assistance.
