Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have been offered a place for the London Marathon 2015 with Samaritans.
As some of you will know, our friend Will took his own life in April this year and it was a horrible shock and a great tragedy for all his friends and family.
Will was a smiley, enthusiastic and energetic person and above all a great friend, always up for a laugh and the next challenge. This is how we all want to remember Will and therefore I decided I wanted to do something positive in his memory.
The London Marathon has always been something I have thought about doing so I thought I would challenge myself and run it in memory of Will.
Aside from training, (without my usual excuses!) I will be organising lots of fun things over the next 10 months (I'm thinking cakes, clothes swaps, curry nights and a repeat of last year's carols!) to help me reach my target of £3,000 for Samaritans in order to help them support people and providing a listening ear to those who are struggling or going through a tough time.
It will be tough but I am very excited to get started. It's a great cause and any support will be very much appreciated.Thank you so much :)
Em xx
