Epsom Downs Mascot Race was started in 2021 in memory of Geoff & Jenny Smith & Denys Hutson for years between them they organised mascot events raising money for charity mainly The Children's Trust Tadworth, this race is a lasting legacy in their memory continuing their amazing work, they are dearly missed by their mascot Family.

The mascot race takes part of Epsom Downs Racecourse Family Fun day on August 29th Bank Holiday Monday the Mascot Race will start the days racing at 1pm followed by a days horse racing as well as kids races, and lots of family fun throughout the day, Kids go free to the event.

The Children’s Trust is the UK’s leading charity for children with brain injury. They deliver rehabilitation, education and community services through skilled teams who work with children and young people, and their families. They are based in Tadworth, Surrey very close to Epsom Downs race course.

They provide brain injury information in an understandable language and hope that parents, teachers and families find it helpful on their on-going journey following a child's brain injury.
