Story
Dear Friends,
Many thanks to all of you for your wonderful support yesterday and also for sponsoring me so generously! It was an amazing day and I was so touched to see parents, children (especially Roxy and Florence!) and friends from School for Parents cheering us all.
All the hard work of training payed off yesterday as I finished this year's Robin Hood half marathon in 2 hours 13 minutes and 19 seconds! This is a great result for me and is also 10 minutes better than last year's time! Apart from a few seconds of "emergency cooling down walk" around 8 miles, I also managed to run it all this time! : )
A huge thank you goes to my fellow runners: Melinda, Sean and Sadit, who kept me going through training and the race!
Also, thanks to all of our wonderful School for Parents marshals at 12 miles- seeing them at that point of the race gave me the last push to keep runing for the last mile!
I am ever so grateful for all the support. All money raised will go to support the lovely children and their families in School for Parents.
Many thanks,
Erika
Thanks so much for having a look at my just giving page!
As you know I work with amazing children and parents for a small charity in Nottingham. I am running the half marathon to raise money to help support these children and their families. Having completed last years half marathon I decided to take on the challenge again this year. I have been training for the past few months but not when it was too cold or wet. However my training is now going very well and I feel prepared for Sunday 11th September.

Please donate as generously as you can for this very good cause and please come and support us if you can on the day.
Love from
