On July 17th 2021, I will be embarking on my biggest challenge to date. I will be cycling 192 miles, from Llandudno to Cardiff Bay. Then on Sunday 18th July I will be completing a half-marathon (13.1 miles), followed by a swim across Barry Island Bay. 

I will be doing this in aid of the Mental Health Charity Hafal and in memory of a childhood friend, Dylan who sadly took his own life in May aged just 22. 

Mental health is something that will plague each and every one of us at least once during our lifetime. It does not discriminate. I cannot even begin to describe to you what it is like to loose someone close to you to mental health. There are no words, you simply live with the grief and the many questions in your head. Many of these deaths could be avoided if the correct help and advice was available, also if there was less stigma surrounding mental health.
