Why Ty Hafan, well let me tell you a story. In 2015 I met Scarlett Seren Thomas. Scarlett was funny, captivating, cheeky and mischevious. She had a smile that would light up a room, a laugh that was infectious and the bendiest legs I have ever seen.

Scarlett's parents are the most amazing and selfless people I have ever met. They gave Scarlett the most amazing life.  

Throughout Scarlett's short but wonderful life they were supported by Ty Hafan. Ty Hafan gave the family a reason to carry on.  

From the play therapy, music therapy, dad's group, chef Dave's cooking, Christmas pantomimes, respite,hydrotherapy, family support the list is endless. Ty Hafan were a life line. It is not a place where lives end it's a place where memories begin.  

I would not have wanted to play on any other team. Ty Hafan Ice Hockey is where I belong and I hope to do Scarlett, Chris and Clair proud. I know Scarlett will be looking down on us and cheering us on with a nice big "hiya"  

I only held her hand for a short while but she will hold my heart forever.  #teamscarlett 💚💚💚
